Tumanggap ng free Bayanihan Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards ang mga guro at estudyante mula sa 11 pampublikong paaralan sa Echague, Isabela nitong ika-27 ng Enero.
Ang sim cards na ipinamahagi ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) ay makatatanggap ng 25GB free mobile data per month sa loob ng isang taon.
Layon nitong makapaghatid ng reliable internet access para sa digital learning, ayon kay Technical Operations Division Chief Engr. Magdalena Gomez.
“This enables teachers and learners to access online learning materials, conduct research, and utilize essential digital platforms needed in today’s technology-driven education environment,” saad pa niya.
Sinabi pa niya na ang inisyatiba ay bahagi ng layunin ng DICT na i-promote ang digital inclusion sa lambak ng Cagayan, lalo na sa mga geographically isolated at underserved communities.
“By improving connectivity in schools, the agency aims to empower students and teachers, enhance learning outcomes, and ensure that no learner is left behind in the digital age.”
Ang mga nakatanggap ng libreng Bayanihan SIM sa bayan ng Echague ay ang mga guro at estudyante sa sa:
- Garit Sur Elementary School,
- Garit Elementary School,
- Highway Region National High School,
- San Juan Elementary School,
- Rumang-Ay Elementary School,
- Malitao Elementary School,
- Doña Magdalena H. Gaffud High School,
- Dammang Malitao Elementary School,
- Bacradal Elementary School,
- Libertad Elementary School, and
- San Antonio Elementary School.
