“Bawal gamitin ang government vehicles tuwing weekends, holidays” – DILG

Pinapaalalahanan ng Department of Interior and Local Government o DILG na ang mga government-owned vehicles ay mahigpit na ipinagbabawal gamitin tuwing Sabado, Linggo, at holidays.

Ito ay sang-ayon sa DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2026-011 na nagsimulang maipatupad, February 6.

Batay sa panuntunang ipinalabas, ang personal na paggamit sa mga nasabing sasakyan kabilang na ang private errands ay hindi pinapayagan.

Sinasabing ang hindi awtorisado at hindi opisyal na paggamit sa mga sasakyan ng pamahalaan ay matatawag na “unnecessary expenditure of public funds and undermines public trust in government institutions.”

Ang pinapayagan lamang ay kapag ang sasakyan ng gobyerno ay gagamitin sa official functions tuwing weekends at holidays.

“Government motor vehicles are provided exclusively for the efficient and effective delivery of public service. Their use is subject to strict regulation to ensure economy, efficiency, and accountability in the utilization of government resources,” saad ng DILG.

Pinaalalahanan na sinumang mahuhuling lumalabag sa panuntunan ay magreresulta ng administrative o criminal liability.

Ang direktiba ay para sa lahat ng elected at appointed local officials, kabilang na ang DILG Central, Regional, at Field personnel maging ang kanilang attached agencies.
